My favourite homemade banana walnut bread (gf) (Ve)

This is one of my favourite sweets. It’s free from gluten dairy and eggs and uses healthy sugars so you don’t get that horrible sugar rush causing many other problems.


  • 5 very ripe bananas 
  • Tsp Cinnamon + nutmeg
  • Tsp Baking soda 
  • 100 ml Chia Egg ( 1 part chia to 3 parts water)
  • 150ml Plant milk 
  • 2-3 cups Mix of gluten free flours (sorghum, brown rice, coconut, tapioca)
  • Tsp Vanilla extract 
  • Pinch of salt 
  • Tbsp Maple syrup / date paste
  • Handful of walnuts 
  • Coconut oil 


  • Desiccated coconut 
  • Maple syrup

  • Heat the Oven to 180°c
  • Mash the banana up well 
  • Add all the liquid ingredients and mix well
  • Slowly add in the dry ingredients and mix well
  • Brush your pan well with coconut oil and transfer the ingredients into the pan 
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes 
  • Once cooled spread your topping on and enjoy.

    1. Instead of using eggs. I mixed chia seeds in water and let it sit for 10 minutes until they swell and use that whole as the egg. Thank you for visiting ☺️ feel free to ask anything

    1. One tablespoon of chia to three tablespoons of water equals one egg. Hope you enjoy the recipes along with all the nutritional benefits. 🙂
