Black Sesame Protein Smoothie (v) (gf)

Here is another fabulous smoothie which I’m loving. Apart from putting white or black sesame into my almost all of my asian dishes I like to add them into my smoothies. If you don’t like the taste of them then a smoothie is the way to go as the other ingredients cover up most of the flavour.

Benefits of sesame seeds: 

  1. Full of Protein
  2. High in Iron, Zinc & magnesium
  3. Prevents diabetes 2
  4. Helps blood pressure
  5. Lowers cholesterol
  6. Boosts heart, liver and eye health
  7. Clears skin from acne and wrinkles
  8. Great for Digestion
  9. Helps with Anxiety
  10. Great for Arthritis
  11. Overall tooth and gum care


  • Handful of raw Black sesame
  • Handful of washed Blackberries
  • Almond milk / other nut or seed milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Maca powder (optional)
  • Pinch of Cinnamon

Blend the ingredients until smooth. Consume within one hour.
