Sprouted Red Quinoa Loaf 

As long as it’s fermented and or sprouted I will eat it! Staying far away from processed or refined foods has been amazing especially for my mood, hoping everything else will fall into place as well. If you are still consuming lots of refined and products such as deli meats, cheese, oils, snacks, drinks, anything with E numbers/additives/preservatives etc have a look at your diet and choose foods in their MOST natural state. It makes sense right! Try an 80/10 balance unless you cook all the time. Here is a simple recipe full of wonderful nutrients. My fermented teff recipe (which is a grass) will be out soon but in the meantime let’s tuck into this one. By the way, healthy gluten free ‘grains’ are mostly grasses and seeds so they shouldn’t cause any negative effects to your body especially if they are prepared well.

This recipe is Grain free, Gluten free, Paleo friendly, Vegan, Refined sugar-free, Plant-based, Oil free, Insulin friendly.

Prep Time: 10 minutes to combine (20+ hours to activate / sprout)

Cook Time: 45 mins


Ingredients:

  • Sprouted red quinoa
  • Baking Soda
  • Ripe Bananas / natural apple sauce
  • Cinnamon + Nutmeg + Pink salt
  • Coconut Flakes (ground)
  • Vanilla extract
  • Almonds/Walnuts (optional)
  • Drinking Water

Method:

  • After the quinoa has been washed well and semi sprouted
  • Blend into a thick paste with a pinch of pink salt and just enough water or you can use plant milk for a creamier texture
  • Add in the remaining ingredients (no nuts) and blend smooth
  • Add in the nuts then bake for 45 minutes at 170°C or until firm
